Eva's in downtown Salt Lake City is a delightful experience with delicious food and an elevated eating experience! The restaurant features Mediterranean-style small plates, so my friend and I got several dishes to share together so we could try as much as possible. We started with spirit-free mocktails, which were incredible. They offer a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails. I appreciated that their mocktails weren't just cocktails with the spirits taken out, but were their own specific and special drink. I don't normally get drinks at restaurant, but I wanted to take the opportunity to try these drinks, and we really enjoyed them. We got six dishes in total, and one dessert. Six dishes ended up being unnecessary, we were probably okay with five but it did give us some leftovers to take home. The highlight dish for me was the charred beets which sat on a whipped goat cheese. We got the fig & pig pizza, which was probably one plate too many. The pizza was good, though it wasn't the best thing we had that night. We came for my birthday, and brought that up to the waitress when she asked if we were celebrating any special occasions. They treated me to a dessert, and recommended we try the Loukoumades and ice cream. Loukoumades are a Greek dessert, similar to donut holes and covered in honey. We were served them with ice cream, though I believe it was a seasonal dish. I'm excited to return and try more of their dishes. Not only was the food delicious and worth the price, but the ambience of the restaurant was perfect. It was a small, intimate setting, with fantastic lighting and a lovely bar. There wasn't a lot of seating available, and I would recommend sticking to a small group and setting up a reservation if you are checking Eva's out.
