When you create an account:

• Password (stored securely and never visible to us)
• City and state of residence
• Profile photo (optional)
• Social media handles (optional, for reviewer applications)

When you use the platform:

• Reviews you write, photos you upload, and videos you submit
• Listings you claim or interact with
• Star ratings and review activity
• Device type, browser, and IP address (for security purposes)

When a business registers:

• Business name, owner name, and contact information
• Business address and category
• Payment information (processed securely by Square — we do not store card details)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform and match reviewers with listings
• To verify reviewer identities and maintain the integrity of our review program
• To publish approved reviews on our public platform
• To process payments and enforce financial obligations under our reviewer terms
• To send you account-related emails (application status, claim confirmations, deadline reminders)
• To improve the platform and detect fraudulent activity
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

4. What Gets Published Publicly

When a review is approved and published, the following information becomes publicly visible on our platform:

• Your display name and profile photo
• Your city and state
• Your written review, star ratings, photos, and video
• Your total number of published reviews

Your email address, phone number, and payment information are never made public.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant database provider. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. We may use anonymous analytics to understand how visitors use our platform and improve the experience.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

• Vercel — website hosting
• Namecheap Private Email — transactional email

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

9. Children's Privacy

ReView Me Right is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove the account immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered users by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
